Last month the Great Room came alive for one night with the sounds of our annual rock, pop and contemporary music tea, marking the start of this year’s musical events at Claremont.

From Guns N’ Roses to Wallace and Gromit, AC/DC, and the musical Mamma Mia, our talented students showcased an impressive range of styles and skills. Each performance, whether loud and energetic or soft and expressive, was delivered with enthusiasm and musical excellence, much to the delight of the audience.

A standout moment came from the string ensemble, led by cello teacher Miss Anstee, who performed a charming version of Mamma Mia. The setting of the Great Room added a touch of historical elegance, evoking images of classical string groups performing in times past.

The evening concluded with a series of outstanding solo performances and a fantastic duet, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained and inspired.

Congratulations to all the pupils who performed with such confidence and flair and a special thanks to our peripatetic music teachers.

The next event on our musical calendar is our Christmas service, taking place at Christ Church in Esher on the evening of Monday 15 December. This festive celebration will feature performances from our orchestra and choirs. It promises to be a beautiful evening of music and reflection in a stunning setting. We warmly invite you to join us and celebrate the season with us.
