Life beyond the classroom

At Claremont, life goes far beyond lessons. With over 60 clubs and activities from Year 7 through to sixth form, supported by excellent facilities and coaches, students have endless opportunities to explore passions, discover new talents, and develop skills.

From sport, music, and drama to debating, STEM, and creative arts, there is something for everyone. Our programme balances depth with breadth, helping students sharpen strengths, try new experiences, and connect with others.

In the sixth form, co-curricular life develops leadership as students take on roles such as prefects, captains, and mentors, and participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and Young Enterprise.

Community is also central to sixth form life. Student-led initiatives, from fashion shows and fun runs to charity sleep-outs, make a real difference while instilling the value of giving back.

Sports

Sport plays a key role in Claremont’s sixth form life for many students. It’s often a perfect counterbalance to the demands of academic work, a chance to engage different parts of the mind and body and generate plenty of endorphins!

As well as core competitive sports like rugby, football, cricket, lacrosse and netball, students have the chance to try a range of other sociable activities, with all facilities conveniently located right here on our campus.

Wednesday afternoon is when games takes place. Not only do our sixth form students take part in the on site activities listed above, they also play an active role in coaching younger pupils, which is highly enjoyable, rewarding and beneficial for their leadership and overall character qualities education and experience.

House days bring the whole school together, including sixth form. Pupils enjoy competing in various activities for their houses, enriching their co-curricular life with school spirit.
