Grandparents' Christmas Tea

Pupils are preparing a wonderful afternoon’s entertainment of Christmas music and festive food. Our current Senior School pupils are welcome to invite two grandparents or senior relatives to join them for this celebration tea.

Mr William Brierly, Headmaster, warmly invites you to join him, Mrs Helen Hutton-Attenborough, Head of the Prep School, and Mr Michael Williams, Head of the Pre-Prep and Nursery School to hear about the vision for the future of Claremont Fan Court School.
Presentations start at 7.00pm followed by a drinks reception at 7.30pm for informal conversation with staff and senior leaders.

Parent Mindfulness Course (8 weeks)
Wednesday evenings (starting Wednesday 23 January 2019), 7.15pm - 9.15pm

Cost: £190 (via parentpay)
Claremont Fan Court School is offering a Mindfulness course for parents wishing to gain skills to help them work efficiently alongside the challenges of modern life, and in supporting their children through school. During the course parents will learn concentration skills, focussing on the body and the breath, as well as undertaking exercises to understand how mindfulness can be integrated into everyday life. Skills will be revisited as participants’ experience deepens.

The course will be delivered by Mr Paul Jeffrey, the school’s mindfulness coordinator. It is not essential to be able to attend every session.
Mindfulness by Mark Williams and Danny Penman is a bestselling book readily available in bookshops and online which accompanies the course. Participants will be asked to complete a very simple health questionnaire before starting the course.

Senior School Drama Production: Sister Act
Thursday 7, Friday 8 and Saturday 9 February 2019
Venue: Joyce Grenfell Centre
This year, pupils and students will take to the stage to perform the lively musical comedy, Sister Act. Based on the 1992 film, the Senior School will bring the production to life by turning our own JGC into a convent and nightclub… watch this space! Ticketing information to be announced in due course.
