Dr Julian Braybrook is Director of the National Laboratories at LGC, Teddington. He has a proven track record in developing and implementing successful research strategy and innovation, knowledge transfer and exploitation, built on national and international measurement research. Since June 2018, Julian has been the UK Government Chemist, providing the statutory referee role for food and feed in cases of technical dispute and offering an independent advisory role around the science of chemical and biological measurement to government on policy, standards, regulation.
Julian also holds visiting academic roles at Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Surrey, following a similar role at Loughborough University.
Julian was appointed as a governor in June 2024.
