Your senior school and sixth form journey

USEFUL INFORMATION

We have put together a short guide to give you an insight into our senior school and sixth form, from our vision and ethos to our expansive curriculum. You will also see the breadth of enrichment and co-curricular opportunities, as well as key admissions information that you may find useful.

Meet the team

Student Futures

Here at Claremont, we have a thriving sixth form where pupils receive exceptional support as they prepare for their futures.

From Year 12 onwards, pupils work closely with Chloe Jones, our Higher Education and Oxbridge Coordinator, who provides tailored guidance on university applications and future pathways.

Please take a moment to watch this recorded presentation from Chloe, in which she explains the support offered to our pupils as they explore their options for further education. This presentation was originally delivered at our sixth form options evening, to which you’ll be invited when your child reaches Year 11.

ACADEMIC VALUE ADDED

GCSE value added excellence

Value Added measures the improvement a school can make to its pupils’ academic outcomes in examinations and qualifications compared with those they might achieve at an average-performing school.

We are incredibly proud that at GCSE, our pupils achieve almost a grade higher in every subject than they would at an average-performing school. On average, this equates to eight to nine grades better across all subjects than they might otherwise achieve.

As a result, this places us as one of the leading schools in the country for improving pupil performance.

Record A level results 2025

Claremont achieved our strongest ever A level results in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the school’s academic journey. Over 50 percent of grades were A* to A, 92 percent of pupils secured their first-choice university place and more than 60 percent progressed to Russell Group universities, alongside offers to Oxbridge, apprenticeships and US sports scholarships.

These exceptional outcomes reflect a sustained, whole-school focus on raising expectations, strengthening teaching and supporting every pupil to aim higher. A reimagined sixth form, developed over the past five years, combined with the Claremont Student Futures programme, has built academic confidence, resilience and ambition. Together with a culture that values progress as much as attainment, this approach ensures pupils leave Claremont exceptionally well prepared for their next steps and future success.
