After graduating from the University of Essex with a degree in social, cultural and political history, Lucy completed a PGCE in secondary education at Roehampton University. Lucy started her teaching career in the maintained sector, spending a decade gaining experience in a range of roles both academic and pastoral. After moving to the independent sector to become a head of department Lucy began teaching at Claremont after having her 2 children and in 2020 she began working within the senior leadership team. Lucy enjoys spending time visiting museums and spending time with her family.
