You have been sent the link to this page as you are either joining us a new employee or providing one of the following services to the School: peripatetic teaching, volunteer, casual worker, contractor, club provider, supply staff, or undertaking work experience (including initial teacher training) with us. For the purposes of this page, the reference to ‘staff’ relates to all the above groups.
As a new staff member, please complete the following prior to your first day on site:

(2) Complete online training covering safeguarding and health and safety
Existing members of staff are asked to complete the following on an annual basis:

(4) Attend a DSL safeguarding update (recording available below)

(2) Online training - New staff
The school supports its staff and volunteers who work with children in providing them with appropriate training to carry out their individual responsibilities for child protection effectively. New staff will be made aware of the school’s arrangements for safeguarding and child protection and their own responsibilities with regard to safeguarding the welfare of pupils at the school.
You will be sent a link from Tes Develop and asked to complete the below training:

(2) Online training - Existing staff
The school supports its staff and volunteers who work with children in providing them with appropriate training to carry out their individual responsibilities for child protection effectively.
All staff will be asked to attend an annual safeguarding update with Jason Stanley, DSL, and complete a test of understanding for Keeping Children Safe in Education, in addition to undertaking safeguarding refresher training online every three years. You may be asked to complete additional training from time to time and will be informed of this separately.

(3) Ongoing duty of disclosure form - Existing staff
All staff are required to complete this form relating to safeguarding circumstances at the start of the new academic year and at any time that their circumstances change. Should you have any queries about any of the information required or if you wish to discuss any aspect of this further please feel free to contact HR on a confidential basis.
You are required to declare if there have been any changes since your last declaration – please complete the form even where you have previously informed the school.
If you answer “Yes” to any of the questions on the form, the Head of HR and the DSL will be made aware; please feel free to talk directly to them.
