Next steps on your journey with us – Reception entry
After your child’s assessment, we’ll be in touch to talk through the results and discuss the next steps together. For families who decide to accept a place, we will guide you through the simple paperwork and deposit process to confirm your child’s spot.
Before starting in September, children are warmly invited to a settling-in afternoon in the summer term, a lovely opportunity for them to get to know their new classroom, meet their teacher, and begin feeling at home.

We also look forward to welcoming Reception children to our ‘Bee Reception Ready’ event on 17 January 2026, where they can enjoy fun activities designed to help them feel confident and excited about starting school.
Key dates and information
Reception Entry
Children join Reception in the September following their fourth birthday, attending five full days each week. Admissions review sessions take place throughout the autumn term.
We have a considerable range of clubs on offer and children are encouraged to explore and develop their interests. Clubs are usually organised on a termly basis thereby giving pupils the opportunity to experience a number of clubs throughout the year.
