It was a very exciting day in the Pre-Prep and Nursery School on Monday 26 April with the arrival of a 1960s routemaster bus stopping at Claremont to pick up a few small, very eager passengers! Each class had the opportunity to meet the conductor and the bus driver before boarding the top deck of the bus and using an old penny to buy their own tickets for a short journey through the school grounds. The children learned all about the big red bus and how the old routemaster buses differ from the ones we see in London today. The children absolutely loved the experience and we’re sure they will remember fondly the day the big red bus came to school.
