On Tuesday, Year 5 walked into Esher to complete some Geography Fieldwork to help with their studies on the local area.

Their first stop was at William’s house to see a World War 2 Anderson shelter in his garden, they couldn’t believe how small and dark it was inside, it made them realise the conditions that they lived in. Then they walked to Esher green and conducted a traffic survey, it was surprisingly busy at 11am on a Tuesday! Next they went to Esher high street and counted the different business that are there. They then interviewed members of the general public on how they travelled to Esher, what they were doing and how long they were planning on spending in Esher.

They enjoyed our trip into Esher and look forward to using the data in their geography lessons next week.
