The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning all about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot during their history, English and drama lessons this autumn.

They thought about the reasons why Guy Fawkes and his friends plotted to kill King James I. By imagining they were the plotters they explored how they would transport and store gunpowder under the Houses of Parliament without being seen. Part of their learning took them underground to the creepy Claremont tunnels! They also took part in an exciting drama workshop by Perform where they re-enacted events, danced and sang. Overall, it was a fantastic learning experience for Year 2.
