A Magical Evening of Light, Wonder and Early Learning at Claremont

On 9 January, we opened our doors to the local community who enjoyed a truly enchanting evening at Claremont as our beautiful outdoor space was transformed into a twinkling light trail created especially for children aged 2 to 4. The experience invited families to wander together, explore and enjoy the simple magic of childhood curiosity.

Families first explored a range of engaging activities, including panning for gold and jewels, creating magic fairy potions, experimenting with galaxy play dough and enjoying small space world play. After this, everyone gathered around the fire for a calm storytelling session, creating a reflective and nurturing moment for children and families to share together.

Families then followed a glowing pathway of fairy lights, discovering gentle moments of wonder as they made their way through the trail. Children were delighted by a special surprise deep within the forest, where Fairy Sarah from Toadstool Parties, was waiting to welcome them. Fairy Sarah helped bring the woodland experience to life, adding a memorable touch of magic to the event. After exploring, families came together to enjoy a warm meal, providing time to relax, chat and share highlights of the evening.

Our collab with Toadstool Parties is something we value greatly. Established in 2010, Toadstool Parties was created when Fairy Sarah developed a passion for engaging, imaginative and inclusive events for children. Since then she has grown The Toadstool Team into a wonderful troupe of entertainers who share her commitment to bringing smiles, sparkle and joyful experiences to children. Their creative approach complements our Early Years ethos perfectly and we are delighted to work alongside them.

At Claremont, we believe that a child’s first steps into Early Years education should be filled with discovery and delight. Experiences like our Light Trail help children build confidence, develop curiosity and begin to explore the world with excitement and wonder.
