National poetry day 2022

In celebration of National poetry day, on October 6 Year 8 enjoyed poetry workshops led by KIMBA a travelling poet. KIMBA’s sessions aim to nurture and develop students’ skills and enthusiasm towards reading, writing and poetry – our Year 8 pupils produced some fantastic poetry and also managed to share it with their peers. They refined their knowledge about poetical devices and confidently shared themes which evolved into collective verses. We are proud of their participation in KIMBA’s workshops and their passion for the written word. The English faculty look forward to some future performances by our budding inhouse spoken word artists!
