The much anticipated annual prose reading competition took place in the Prep School this week. As always, the standard was high and our ten finalists impressed the judges with their confident and engaging performances.

In the junior prize category, four pupils from Year 3 gave wonderful performances, with Annabel being declared winner for her reading from the book, ‘Rabbit’s Bad Habits’ by Julian Gough. Elise took the runner up prize.

Six Year 5 pupils were eager competitors in the senior prize category, all delivering strong performances from their chosen books. After much deliberation, the judges awarded the winner’s prize to Seb for his reading from Rudyard Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book’. The runner up prize was given to Olive.

Congratulations to all our competitors for making the event such a success.
