Road to Wimbledon

On 27 May, Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils participated in the first rounds of the Road to Wimbledon tournament. The winners of each round go through to compete to be the school winner for both girls and boys. All pupils played particularly well and it was fantastic to see some of less experienced players taking part too.

The winners for the girls’ competition were Arabella J (Year 9) and the runner up, Mariella B (Year 8). The boys’ competition winners were Leo S (Year 9) and runner up, Max G (Year 9). These pupils will go on to play in the county finals, the winners of which will have the chance to play on the infamous grass courts at Wimbledon. We wish our pupils all the very best in the county finals!
