On Tuesday 1 February, the sixth form art and photography students spent the day in London. The walk from London Waterloo, via the Golden Jubilee Bridge, provided an excellent opportunity for students to take photographs before arriving at the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. Inside the exhibition, Dürer’s Journeys: Travels of a Renaissance Artist, students were able to take photos of the exhibition and spend time sketching. After eating lunch in Chinatown, we then walked to the Photographers’ Gallery to see the work of street photographer, Helen Levitt, along with the gallery’s 50th anniversary display.
