Many congratulations to Ethan G for his recent gymnastic achievements. Ethan competes at a national level and recently took part in the regional championships where he placed bronze for floor and rings, and won gold for vault.
Claremont Fan Court School’s golf team played at Frilford Heath Golf Course last week and they came second in the team competition. Well done to all involved!
A group of Prep School pupils competed in the Fencing British Youth Championships at Sheffield Institute of Sport on 9 April to 1 May. Well done to the fencers from Claremont who participated in their very first British Championships – it was an amazing achievement just to qualify, so the results on the day were the icing on the cake!
Yoojoo had an excellent start, winning four out of 6 fights in the first round. She then won her first elimination fight convincingly 10-4 to progress to the top 16 where she lost a close 10-7 battle with the eventual bronze medallist. This really is an amazing result after only a year of fencing!
Arabella won two out of 5 of her first round fights and fenced brilliantly in her last 32 fight, narrowly losing to the number 10 seed with a score of 10-8. She was happy and positive all day, and seems to be growing in confidence each time she fences.
William kept his focus and fenced with confidence against much more experienced fencers – he improved throughout the day and lost his last 64 fight by just three hits (10-7) to the number 23 seed.

Congratulations to our U13 girls who won their first game against Harrodian. Well done to the U13 boys who won their first game against Hampton, despite the tough rainy weather conditions.
Our U15 boys unfortunately lost their first game against Hinchley Wood. The Senior boys also played against St George’s and Ewell Castle last week, but unfortunately lost after some very competitive matches.
