Girls Rugby Surrey Waterfall Cup winner

Purdy M’s all girls rugby team, Reeds Rebels Weybridge, won the ‘Under 12’s Girls Surrey Waterfall Cup’ this week, which is a huge achievement.

Purdy, and her team, have put in so many hours of work to achieve their goal of being the best in Surrey. Her coach is extremely proud of them and how hard they have worked this year.

The Senior School have started a girls touch rugby club this year and we hope this encourages girls to get involved.

Archery competition success

Claremont Fan Court School had five archers that went to the Royal Richmond Pagoda Shoot, Sophie, Comet, Finn, Jay and Max. The Pagoda Shoot is full open shoot open to any archer of all ages in the country, some of our archers where shooting a distance two to three age groups above what the need to shoot for their age, and that is amazing!

They shot a Windsor round which is a nine-dozen arrow round. They shot three dozen at 60 yards, three dozen at 50 yards and three dozen at 40 yards. They all shot very well and we are very proud of them. They represented the school and themselves incredibly well, and the results show that.

Sophie and Finn came back with gold, Comet second, Jay third and Max fourth in their categories, which is an amazing achievement.

Sophie, Finn and Comet also all achieved their first Junior Bowman ranking!

This is one of the highest classifications you can achieve and to do that at an away competition where you are shooting at distances above your age group is amazing!

Gymnast places 4th at Regional South East England championships

Eden M had a great weekend in sport placing fourth in all-rounder gymnastics at the Regional, South East England championships, narrowly missing out on a medal. He achieved second in vault, and fourth on rings, floor, high bar, pommel and parallel. These medals are thanks to his commitment, dedication and 21 hours a week of training. His club also took home gold overall. Congratulations Eden!
