Congratulations to Jinny P who has been very busy competing in karate competitions after taking a break for the past two years due to covid.

In the last 6 weeks alone, Jinny competed in 5 competitions with the following results: English Karate championships 2 golds 1 silver, Ama International (Sheffield) u12 Gold, Bask u12 u15 u17 golds plus a £50 prize and Toyakwa 3 golds.

Not only this, but she also competed in the GP Open:  1 Gold (pairs) and 2 silvers (individuals), the Meopham Open:  1 Silver (pairs) 1 Gold beating the U12 world no 3 and 5 in the individuals and the Central England competition:  1 silver (individual) in the under 12 category in a pool of 32 competitors.

Jinny has jumped up an age group this year and will be competing against older girls, so we expect a tougher year for her.

She is a member of a small independent dojo based in New Malden which does not participate in world rankings until the children reach 14.

The plan is to compete further afield in Europe next year COVID permitting.

She should be very proud of her achievements. We are all rooting for you!
