Two GCSE textile design students and one A level textile student were chosen as finalists in the Young Fashion Designer (South Centre) Competition 2022.

The competition was very strong this year the judges had to select from many entries from schools and colleges in the South of England. The students went to Kent College on Saturday 8 October for the finals. The students  put up a display of their work and they were judged on their sketchbook, design development boards and final outcomes. Katie D received an award for sustainable design and Maria E received an award for textile manipulation in the GCSE design category. Also, Eve D received an award for textile manipulation in the A level category. They also attended a textile workshop during the day with the other finalists.

Their  parents arrived back at 1.30pm  to see them collect their awards at the ceremony and they were proud of their achievements. Congratulations girls!
