Claremont Fan Court School were pleased to see the return of competitive sport on Tuesday 13 October with an U15 ISFA cup football fixture versus Ryde School who had travelled from the Isle of Wight to participate.

The match, which remained spectator free with a number of safety measures in place such as regular hand sanitising from players and disinfecting of equipment, was the first opportunity that both schools have had to play football this term.

It was a well fought match, with plenty of goals scored, especially from set pieces. Claremont were able to take an early lead and double their tally within 15 minutes, but Ryde School maintained pressure and came back into the game with 3 goals of their own, keeping them in the game right up to the final whistle.

Overall the game was played in great spirit and our thanks go to Ryde School for making the long journey over to play. Our U15s now look forward to their next ISFA fixture after half term.

Final score: 5 – 3 to Claremont Fan Court School
