On the evening of 24 March, Claremont Fan Court School hosted its first virtual careers fair for pupils in Years 10, 11 and sixth form considering their next steps after school.

The evening featured a series of live Q&A sessions, with 34 members of the Claremont Fan Court alumni community joining online to provide insights into university life, alongside a catalogue of pre-recorded career talks from alumni and parents with experience working in a wide variety of industries.

“Gaining real-life knowledge of the working world is a key part of our pupils’ development and the careers fair is an opportunity for them to broaden their insight into a range of career options and the qualifications required before making their next subject and destination decisions.”

Mrs Wells, Head of sixth form

Careers events are always well supported at Claremont but it was particularly nice to see so many of our alumni contributing and supporting the event this year and the virtual element ensured we were able to involve those studying abroad or those unable to attend in person.
