To celebrate World Book Day, Pre-Prep and Nursery travelled all around the world through stories! Pupils enjoyed making lots of noise in an African drumming workshop which tied perfectly into their themed day.

The pupils in the Prep School had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day. This year, the dressing up theme was ‘My Future Self’ with children being encouraged to come to school in an outfit that reflected their career ambitions. A wide range of costumes were on display including police officers, pilots, artists, doctors and professional sports players. During the morning, the children enjoyed writing autobiographies as their adult selves, which described their life journey in detail with amusing anecdotes. These autobiographies were then shared with buddies from other classes. It was a day of great celebration where all pupils took the time to reflect on how they will make a difference to society as they grow up.

Thank you to author, Joseph Elliott, for talking to our Senior School pupils. They loved creating crazy new animals such as a mythical blob fish platypus, through his fun ‘meldery’ technique. He spoke very enthusiastically about the inspiration and publishing process behind his successful ‘Shadow Skye’ fantasy series. Year 7 also read stories to Years 1 and 2 in the Pre-Prep earlier this week which the younger children loved!
