The sun shone for 73 of our Year 10s on their expedition element of the bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award on 10 and 11 October. Pupils were tasked with navigating a 10k route on Saturday from the school site around Oxshott. On their return to school, they cooked their evening meal before returning home for a good night’s sleep.

On Sunday, they had staggered start times in various locations around the Surrey Hills and successfully navigated another 12k route on more challenging terrain. Pupils demonstrated great navigational skills and remained in good spirits throughout. We hope that many will consider completing the silver award and will be able to experience the camping element to the expedition once it is safe to do so. Overall, an excellent weekend and well done to all.
