Year 2 have had a wonderful time celebrating Roald Dahl day on Thursday 29 April. It has been lovely seeing all of their “fizz popping” costumes! Now that we have finished reading The Twits in class, it was great fun for the children to bring the story to life through Perform For School’s drama workshop. They enjoyed rapping, freeze frames and singing. The children also made glittery dream jars in the style of The BFG. We finished the day with a fantastic exhibition of the children’s projects. We were blown away with the variety of posters, models and powerpoints which were all so well-researched and beautifully presented. The children will now begin their next Roald Dahl story, Fantastic Mr Fox, and we look forward to reading all the children’s super Big Writes too.
