With the pandemic preventing residential trips this year, Year 5 and 6 were given the opportunity to make the most of our wonderful school grounds as they took part in a series of outward bound adventure days. Working in teams led by qualified instructors, they participated in a variety of adventurous activities including orienteering, den building and creative collaging following a nature scavenger hunt. A particular highlight for many pupils was toasting marshmallows in the woods as part of the fire lighting activity. The children impressively demonstrated the school’s character qualities of cooperation, environmental awareness and creativity throughout each day. Whatever the weather, they embraced every activity with great enthusiasm!
