Young Reporter Scheme

The young reporter scheme (www.youngreporter.co.uk) is designed to provide budding next generation journalists with a creative writing platform whereby pupils can write their own articles over an eight-month period for a real live online newspaper. Our writers can choose from categories including breaking news, events, interviews, sport and photography. At the end of the scheme, pupils are judged on the articles they have submitted and an awards ceremony is held for the winners in recognition of their efforts. Pupils Tristan C, Alfie S, Olivia S, Ethan H-L and Aarun V have all been participating in the scheme this year and have been developing their creative writing skills across a number of subject matters.
