Our fantastic estates and facilities team have been working hard all summer to improve the school campus, ready for the start of term. Please read on to see how the different areas of the school have benefited from their hard work.
To improve our youngest pupils’ learning journey in the Pre-Prep, we have installed 75-inch interactive screens into Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Reception and Year 2 classrooms.
An outdoor canopy classroom has also been introduced which will enrich our pupils’ forest school learning.
In the Prep School, we have invested into our pastoral care facilities by introducing the well-being pod. This safe and friendly environment is ideal for pupils who wish to have private conversations with their teachers.
The playground had a significant makeover over the holidays. We have retarmacked the surface and painted on lines for a netball court. In addition to this, several areas have been covered in astroturf to reduce the mud in the winter months.
Pupils have gained two extra classrooms as our bursary department have moved into White Cottage. The former offices have now been transformed into two large classrooms on the second floor of Stable Court, complete with 75-inch interactive screens.
The Senior School has seen the creation of five new classrooms and the installation of 13 large, interactive screens.
We have devoted considerable resources to refurbishing communal areas and landscapes across the site and the mansion. This has involved painting and decorating areas such as the outer and inner halls as well as several classrooms, corridors, and stairwells.
We truly value the heritage of our building; therefore, many hours have been put into repairing intricate historical plasterwork over the past few months.
Our grounds team have been repainting pitch lines and putting up goals ready for the start of rugby and lacrosse season. The rugby posts have been given new post protectors with Claremont branding. We look forward to welcoming parents back to watch Saturday matches by these pitches.
