Our students were delighted to receive record breaking A level results today. With 85% of entries graded A*, A or B and 62% of entries being graded A* or A. This exceeds even those grades achieved in the last two years under teacher and centre assessed grades, our students’ results are truly outstanding. Our average grade profile this year was A,A,B.

The headmaster, William Brierly, said ‘Our sixth form students have achieved these remarkable grades through their excellent work ethic and commitment – we are so proud of them – their results are record breaking by some margin.’

We are particularly excited for the quality of university and career destinations our students are now moving onto, with a large number of Claremont students heading off to Russell Group universities including Bristol, Durham, KCL and Exeter, and others taking up much sought-after apprenticeships at companies such as Meta and Barclays.

Sixth formers have been supported by a continual, robust teacher assessed grades process and have enjoyed the use of the dedicated sixth form centre which was completed in 2019, but our sixth form experience is about so much more than that, and families recognise we are a school that will go the extra mile for our pupils. This is particularly the case in a results week and our students know we are at hand to give the advice and support they need at this crucial moment.
