The Prep School eco club held a competition on Friday 20 May to see which class could design and create the best sculpture made out of bottle tops and other recyclable items.
After weeks of collecting bottle tops, classes went head to head at lunch break to make their spectacular designs. A huge effort was made to create impressive sculptures that tell impactful visual stories about our precious environment.
Special mentions go out to 3H’s lobster, 3R’s turtle, 4B’s whale, 4MR’s green turtle, 4M’s dolphin, 5P’s windmill and 5H’s eco sign.
After the eco club’s careful and difficult judging, the winners were chosen. Congratulations to 6W who came in first place with their ‘whale in a bottle’ piece! The close runners up were 6C in 2nd place with ‘Wiggles the jellyfish’ and 5D with their dramatic ‘Earth on fire piece’.
In support of eco club, pupils also wore green accessories which looked great next to the art!
Well done to all who participated and collected bottle tops for the amazing recycling artwork!
