The annual prose reading competition took place this week, which is always a real highlight of the Prep School calendar. As ever, the standard was high and our eleven finalists impressed the judges with their confident and engaging performances.
In the junior prize category, two pupils from Year 3 and three from Year 4 gave wonderful performances, with Luca F being declared winner for his reading from the book, ‘Charlotte’s Web’ by E.B. White. Danika H took the runner up prize. Six Year 5 pupils were eager competitors in the senior prize category, all delivering strong performances from their chosen books. After some difficult decision-making, the judges awarded the winner’s prize to Bertie for his reading from Rudyard Kipling’s ‘The Elephant Child’. The runner up prize was given to Pippa.
Congratulations to all our competitors for making the event such a success.
