Congratulations to the Year 9 pupils who won The Grace Dear Trust £1,000 through the First Give charity programme!

A group of Year 9’s were delighted and honoured to receive the cheque for one of our Claremont 100 charities.

First Give is an initiative that inspires schools to compete in groups to raise money and awareness for local charities. Pupils were challenged to host creative fundraising events, meet with their chosen charities and do an interactive informative presentation in front of judges, including headmaster William Brierly and the Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Simon Waugh.

Representatives from the pupil’s chosen charities were in attendance, including Grace Dear’s father, Graham Dear, who was touched to receive the £1,000 cheque.

Well done to our runners up who raised £160 for the Rainbow Trust, £110 for Leather HEAD START, £109 for Rentstart and £180 for Mind Kingston.
